Alaina held his gaze. She was unsure of what is going on inside his mercurial switch in behavior. She blinked hard as if she was wishing away the last few hours. Maybe, she thought to herself, this was all just one of those surreal dreams. Alas, when she opened her eyes, the blue green eyes are still upon her, imploring, searching and regarding. He knelt closer to her. "Martin, what is going on?" her voice trailed off as he planted a kiss on her lips. It was soft, gentle and warm, unlike the way he had kissed her earlier. He smiled at her and said, "I think we are about to explore the word abandon." Alaina squinted her eyes as if she didn't know the word. "When was the last time you really let go?" he asked. "Let go and damn the consequences?" he continued. "I did that earlier, Martin." she answered. His smile was grim. Pained. It confused Alaina. She wondered what he meant by letting go, what else does he expect when he's basically got her sex without so much as a first date? She felt cheap. She's not some tart who hops in the sack with just about anyone. His reaction bothered her, but she was also intrigued by what he said about exploring the word "abandon". At this point, Alaina thought it was her turn to seem concerned and asked, "Have I said something wrong?" and Martin smiled again. He shook his head no. "This man is an enigma", she thought to herself. "So, what have you got planned for me at three in the morning, Martin? she asked. "Many things, you'll see", he retorted. "Uh-oh, I may have gotten myself in something I can't get myself out of, this time", Alaina thought to herself. Deep down, her heart skipped a beat, thinking if the earlier situation was just a premise of something more lustful, then by god, why would she want to get out of the situation? She is more than a willing participant of all thing sex with Martin.
The snobbish disdain she felt for Martin Green, barely sixteen hours ago has all disappeared. Now she is beginning to see what the fuss is all about this multi-billionaire whose life has been well documented throughout his thirty eight years of great personal catastrophe. His life has been detailed like a historian recorded the most significant events in the world's histories. From the well known tragedy of his youngest brother abducted by a violent cult which resulted in the toddler's death, to his father's airplane crash which was ruled accidental, but many whispered it was really a suicide, due to the fact that Geoffrey Green was so heartbroken from the toddler's death. All those when Martin was but seven years of age. Alaina felt ashamed for judging him because of his lavish lifestyle. She suddenly felt the urge to hold him close. The limousine came slowing down after the underpass leading to the uphill road of Olive and Pine. Interstate 5 was now on their left side and Alaina can see the Space Needle to her left as the car takes them higher in what seemed a long, private road called Green Terrace. It was gated and the car stopped as James Traynor punched in the gate codes. Martin was gauging her reaction as she swiftly turned to look at the street, the gate behind them appearing smaller as the limousine drove farther away. "Gosh, I've seen this road from the highway but never realized it was private and this long", she breathlessly remarked to Martin. Martin moved to sit next to her and touched her cheek as she curiously peeked at the trees surrounding the private road. "Where is the house?" she asked Martin, "near", was just his answer, factual. He seems to enjoy her rising curiosity.
Alaina closed her eyes briefly, imagined when she is headed to work and how she usually pass by the private road to her left going to Downtown and seeing the huge, glass covered, singular house that stands proud but private on top of the hill. She had no idea it belonged to Martin and secretly wondered why this particular residence never made it in the papers. She reminisced how intrigued she gets, each time she drove to work. And how annoyed she gets when it is sunny, the windows on that magnificent house reflect bright dancing lights, almost blinding commuters forced to turn their visors or put their sunglasses on. "Typical. Only Martin Green will go against the grain by making pale, sunless Seattle residents wear shades in a city that is almost foreign to the word sunglasses or shades", Alaina giggled to herself. Finally, the hum of the limousine's engine ceased. They were at Martin's home. Well, one of his many homes, she thought sarcastically. James came around to open the door for them and Martin stepped out first as James held his hand out to help her. She flinched and said "thank you, I'm fine" to him, as she held onto the open door to balance herself. Martin turned and looked at James, he seemed irritated with the driver. He padded towards Alaina and held out his hand to her as Alaina let out a sigh of relief that James had to step back from her. As they walked towards the door, Martin put his arm on her, drew her close and stated, "you don't like my driver". Alaina turned her head towards James to make sure he wasn't within hearing distance before deciding to just shake her head no. Martin understood her without her elaborating her answer by her mere gesture. She liked that, his insight on something she feels, no matter how insignificant. And James Traynor has no significance to her.
Heavy glass doors opened for them and a silver haired man with an English accent :-) welcomed them. To Alaina's amazement, the house, more like the lower part of the Chrysler building, has one way glasses. She can see the limousine pull away after Martin's butler has closed the doors. "Master Green, shall I have Martha chill the Shipwrecked?" the butler asked, to which Martin nodded. Theodore's the butler's name, and he has a demeanor of a kindly grandfather, Alaina has familiarized herself with this man, and she warmed up to him sooner than she expected. She was in this thought when all of a sudden, she came to a realization on what Theodore asked Martin. "Shipwrecked?!" she almost thought aloud. Alaina contained her surprise. "Bring it up to the North Wing, Theodore", Martin said. Then he turned to Alaina. "Fancy a swim?" he asked her.
Alaina didn't see a pool anywhere, but a majestic driveway and landscape surrounding when they got out of the limousine. Martin extended his hand to her and she took it and they headed towards the North Wing of the house. They were met by another mirror like door and after Martin has opened it, Alaina couldn't help but gasp. It was his study, shelves lined with antique books, a huge, cherry lacquered oak desk faces the garden by the one way glass wall and the ceiling was low. Martin can touch the ceiling if he raised his arm, she thought. The decor in the room is quite the contrast of the glass encased modern look of the house. Martin reached under the oak desk and pointed to the ceiling. A low whirring sound came on as the ceiling retracted mechanically and an Olympic size and length swimming pool appeared, or rather, the bottom of the pool floated above Alaina's head, as she gazed at it, mouth open in wonderment. "Martin, how, what..." her voice was like a child who was just given her own pony for a birthday. "Kyle suggested it. Big Sci-Fi fan. Do you like it?" he asked. Alaina just nodded. She was beyond impressed. Martin was half leaning on his desk, hand on his chin, watching her, admiring her long legs, her tiny waist, her long, dark hair and her beautiful face, with the most endearing look of an innocent child, giddy with excitement, as she held up her arms trying to reach the ceiling of blue water.
Martin walked towards her and wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her close to him. She giggled and gazed at him, a wry smile on his face. She prepared for his lips to touch hers as she feels his breath inch closer. To her surprise, he hoisted her up, her breasts level to his face and said, "touch it now".Alaina ran her hands on the ceiling, it was smooth, cool to the touch. She giggled. It was akin to touching blue sky made of glass and water. Martin slowly walked backwards and she closed her eyes, her hands never disconnecting from the glass ceiling as Martin carried her to the length of the pool. When he reached the end of the room, Alaina looked down on him, cupped his face and kissed him. Martin slowly lowered her down, his lips never leaving hers. He ran his hands on her hair and drew her tighter to his body. Alaina feels her body melt at his body heat. She whispered, "no swimming, I want you instead" to which Martin scooped her in his arms and carried her to the oak desk. Martin gently put her down on his desk and kissed her again. His kiss makes her feel heady. Then he gestured "sshh" and hit the intercom button, "Martha, have Theodore bring fruits and the champagne up in my bedroom in an hour, not now" Martin ordered and a faint "yes, Master Green" came back from the speaker. Alaina's heart was beating so fast and as Martin faced her, he gave her that look, "now, where were we?" Alaina braced herself for the onslaught of his mouth to hers, but he scooped her up once more and headed towards the door. He steadily stepped towards the grand stairs, which was the width of her whole bedroom and climbed each step without faltering. Alaina can hear how steady his heartbeat is, and she weighs at least one hundred twenty pounds in her five foot nine frame. Martin reached the top of the stairs and Alaina counted at least sixteen doors from the corner of her eyes and as Martin reached the master bedroom, she noticed it was in the center of the floor from the stairs. His bedroom has a four poster, canopied, king size bed. Beautiful and intricate, brass Ivy leaves intertwine on each posts, and crisp, virgin white linen covers the bed. To her right was another sliding, one way glass door and she sees a whole room of designer suits, shoes and other men's wear. Martin went left and entered another door which turned out to be the bathroom. As soon as Martin closed the glass door, Alaina realized the whole bedroom is in sight via the one way mirror walls of the bathroom. "How ingenious, you're inside bathing and you can see who goes in and out of the bedroom, but they can't see you inside the bathroom." she thought to herself. Martin let her down, kissed her softly then walked towards the round shaped tub which can accommodate four people, at least, and turned the faucet on.
Alaina walked towards him and inspected all the gold capped bottles by the tub. He has an array of bath gels and she curiously brought each one to her nose. Martin smiled and sat on the edge of the tub as he undid his tie, then bent down and removed his shoes and socks. Alaina smiled as she handed a bottle to Martin. "I like this one, Gardenia, the best", she said as Martin, his eyes, never leaving her face, poured the content of the bottle in the bath. The scent of flowers filled the air and immediately transported Alaina to the time her parents and her older sister, Alexa, her brother Nicholas, were in Honolulu. Fun times, she thought. Even when Alexa was stung by a jellyfish and Nicky had to pee on her legs, they all could not help but laugh. Their motto was "the three musketeers, all for one and one for all" Alaina smiled in happy reverie. Martin put his hands behind her legs and stroke her calves. "Would you like me to bathe you or would you like to be by yourself? That smile on your face tells me you already started without me." he teased her. Alaina was shaken from her daydream and she immediately said, "Oh, Martin, I'm sorry, I was just recalling a time with Alexa and my Nicky", Martin's frown caught her by surprise, then it dawned on her that the way she addressed her baby brother sounded like a romantic affiliate instead of a sibling. "My older sister and my baby brother", she then added. Martin smiled after hearing her explanation. "How odd that this girl can almost read my thoughts, just the same way I know there is something about my chauffeur that doesn't sit well with her," Martin thought. Alaina turned her back on him and said "Undo me" referring to her zipper. Martin stood up and as she held up her hair, he whispered in her ear, "I would rather do you, but the zipper it is". Alaina laughed, "you're clever, Mr. Green", she said. Martin slipped off her dress and as she stood naked in front of him, he gestured for her to give him her foot and he slipped her shoes off. He carried her to the tub and gently set her down. The water is really warm, bordering on hot and the scent of Gardenia filled her senses. Martin turned towards the door and Alaina asked if he wasn't going to join her. He replied that he is, only if she tells him to join her. Alaina rose from the bath, her silky skin partly covered by foam in random places, and she put her hands on her waist and playfully said, "don't make me get out there and pull you in here, Martin!"
